Believing that each person is a child of God and worthy of love, acceptance, and support, Lake Highlands United Methodist Church provides a weekday program for young children as a part of its ministry to its congregation and evangelistic outreach to its community.

The Christian Childhood Development Center (CCDC) believes that all children are unique individuals and active learners.  Young children learn according to a developmental sequence, and each child progresses at his or her own pace.

Our curriculum is age and developmentally appropriate and challenges the social, emotional, cognitive, communication, spiritual, and physical needs of children.  Through learning “centers” in the classroom, children are provided with interactive, hands-on, and play-based learning.  Each child is helped to experience success and positive feelings of self-worth at their own level of maturity.  A love of learning is fostered through a Christian environment rich in opportunities for growth.  To enhance each child’s spiritual development, CCDC strives to provide an environment in which an integrated approach to discovering God’s love is practiced in an atmosphere of Christian love.
